I just wanted to encourage you again about the provisions of God.
I was reminded again this week that God is not a withholder of good things unto His children. Righteousness breeds honor and favor from the Lord. Check yourself: are you living righteously? If so, then begin to swap your doubt for a stronger stand in God’s word. If you find yourself in need, stifle the complaint and know that Satan is feeding incorrect thoughts to your mind. Dismiss Satan’s lies and refocus your mind. God wants to freely give you all things*. He did not withhold Jesus His Son who came to earth and bore the punishment at the cross for mankind’s sins.
God will supply your need. (And just in case, you feel that the need is not being supplied soon enough, remember that God does not work in the limitations of time that binds us.) He is also never late!
Keep living according to his principles– He’s going to come through for us!
Romans 8:32 (King James Version) “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
Within this past week, I know of 3 people who have died. The news of their passing has made me a little sad.
My sadness made me think of the millions of others who are experiencing the same feeling. So, just in case you are having difficulties in life through sickness or the loss of a loved one, I thought to encourage you.
Remember that God has not forgotten us. He will sustain us when no one else can mentally uphold us during this season of life.
You will find in Isaiah 45:3 (KJV) these words, “And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” The treasure is some benefit that you gain only because you are living through this experience.)
And while these words were specifically to the Israelites, as a child of God whom He loves, adopts these words as your particular promise from the Father.
In one the darkest seasons of my life, I found such solace in knowing that there was a ‘treasure’ in my dark time. All I needed to do was to be discerning enough to see it. ( Looking for the treasure distracted me from the chaos of the situation and gave me hope of God ‘s love and faithful care of me as a person.)
In short, look for your treasure! The times may be dark, yet finding that treasure will certainly lead you to the Light!
A reminder to we who are born-again. Satan is a real enemy! While we can not see him with the naked eye, he does still exist.
He comes to distract us from serving our One True Lord. Keep your mental and spiritual guard up so that you will not fall prey to his devices.
When you feel like Satan is attacking you ask yourself, “What part of me is he attacking now? (By this I mean he comes to attack us physically, mentally, or spiritually.) So is he trying to distract you from serving the Lord or having joy in the Lord via your body, soul, or spirit?
Once you know the avenue through which he is working, go after him with scripture and cause him to flee from you because of the Word of God.
Remember we do and shall always win over Satan through Christ Jesus. (I Corinthians 15:57 KJV “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”.)
- WE WIN!
